Girls Nite Out a.k.a.The Scaremaker (Robert Deubel, 1982)
Please excuse this enumeration of a review, but I’ll be quick. Above average second-rate slasher, there are enough teenage hijinks, beautiful 80s colours, awesome soundtrack and clawed mascot(!) killings in here to warrant a watch. Ensemble rather than final girl vehicle, its characters are enjoyable teen archetypes and its sudden, tacked-on ending, in all its gender-bending, Psycho-alluding glory makes it all worth it, somehow…
